Fishing 101Search ILFishing.comThis section of our site is dedicated to those anglers of all ages who want to learn some of the basics of fishing. Our Fishing 101 page will provide links to resources that will improve your fishing skills in a wide variety of areas, such as tackle selection, fishing lines and knots, lures and live bait, fish behavior, conservation, and fishing and boating safety. There will also be links to organizations that involve kids in fishing, as will as a games and puzzles section to provide some fun while teaching about fishing. We will create separate pages for links to fishing information on the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) web sites and for information specifically about bass fishing. Conservation of our natural resources is a vital aspect of our sport, whether it is respecting the land by not leaving trash or learning how to properly handle and release fish. Bass Resource.com is a site dedicated to bass fishing. ESPN B.A.S.S. Youth provides an introduction to aspiring bass anglers. Fishin Pals.org combines faith, fishing, and young people. Larry's Fishing Hole.com is a good source for fishing in Illinois. Chitown-Angler.com has information about youth fishing events in the Chicago area.
